How is pricing charged?

Calls are billed in platform credits at the API level. You purchase credits in advance and each successful API call deducts from your balance. Per-endpoint pricing may be introduced later; any change will be reflected on this site and in your usage dashboard.

Do I need a separate account with an upstream data provider?

No. agntdata abstracts upstream providers so you use one API key and one credit balance. We handle vendor authentication, rate limiting, and failover behind the scenes.

What data formats are returned?

All endpoints return structured JSON responses. Company endpoints return firmographic data including industry, employee count, funding, and specialties. Profile endpoints return professional history, skills, education, and social engagement metrics.

Is the data real-time or cached?

Data is fetched in real-time from LinkedIn's professional network. Response times are typically under 3 seconds for profile lookups and under 5 seconds for search queries. We apply intelligent caching for recently-requested entities to improve latency and reduce costs.

Can I use this API with AI agents and LLMs?

Absolutely. The API is designed for agent-first workflows. Structured JSON responses work seamlessly with function calling in GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, and other LLMs. You can also use our MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration for direct agent-to-API communication.

What are the rate limits?

Rate limits depend on your plan tier. Free tier accounts get 100 requests per day. Paid plans start at 1,000 requests per day with burst capacity. Enterprise plans offer custom rate limits and dedicated infrastructure.
